The word “Taxonomy” derived from two Greek words “Taxis” and “Nomos”. Taxis means “Arrangement” and Nomos means “Law”. In word Taxonomy means “Law of arrangement”.
Taxonomy is the branch of biology which deals with the description,
naming of organisms and their classification into different groups according to their resemblances and differences mainly in their morphological characters.
